I will read any kind of book as long as it is fictional and written in English. Large series are also welcome, although I reserve the right to give them up after the first book or two if I really don't like it. Also have a quick look through my blog to make sure I haven't already covered it! I am currently reading as long term projects the following books/series:
- Les Miserables - Victor Hugo
- A Song of Ice and Fire - GRR Martin (All avaliable books reviewed, waiting with baited breath for The Winds of Winter!)
Suggestions so far
One Day - David Nicholls(awaiting review)
- Divergent/Insurgent/”Detergent”- Veronica Roth
- Dear Zari - Zarghuna Kargar
- She's Come Undone - Wally Lamb
This is All: The Pillow Book of Cordelia Kenn - Aidan Chambers
Paper Towns - John Green
- Blood Red, Snow White - Marcus Sedgewick
- Across the Nightingale Floor - Lian Hearn
- The Wish List - Eoin Colfer
- Extremely Loud And Incredibly Close - Jonathon Safran Foer
- Before I Die - Jenny Downham
Rejected
American Gods - Neil Gaiman - already read it and loved it, might still review it at some point.
The Time Traveller’s Wife - Audrey Niffenegger - I know I shouldn’t judge a book by the movie but I really really hated the film… can’t see myself enjoying the book much.
The Black Magician series - Trudi Canavan- I already read these a while back, and the companion trilogy (the Traitor Spy series). I liked them okay :)
Stravaganza - Mary Hoffman - Read the first one a while back and don’t remember enjoying it very much.
What would be great is if you could leave a comment below with the title, author and a brief description of the book (preferably without any spoilers in it!)
Thanks very much :)
